Acoustic Space in Kashmiri Vowels

Abstract: The present study “Acoustic space in Kashmiri Vowels” will take into consideration the acoustic space of the vowels in Kashmiri which will mainly focus on the first two formants and duration. As depicted by earlier studies on Kashmiri vowels, duration is considered as important phonemic criteria to distinguish between vowels. Thus, based on the backdrop of these facts, the present study aims to undertake an acoustic study of Kashmiri vowels with a focus on formants and duration
